HO Scale R40 Slant Nose Subway Cars

The R40 'Slant Nose' cars were designed by Raymond Loewy for the NYCTA in the 1960s and built by St. Louis Car Co. The operational disadvantages of the design quickly became apparent and the cars were modified with cab end brackets for the safety gates. They have now been retired.
