The GP40FH-2 was a 'kit-bash' in the late 1980s by Morrison-Knudson of GP40 and F45 locos for push-pull commuter train service. Metro-North and NJ Transit were the two operators of this unique loco. Known as 'pigs' due to their unusual appearance, the units could make 102 mph and were rated for 3,000hp.
