HO Scale DC Transit 1935 1051-1060 series 'Pre-PCC' Cars

These cars were built by St. Louis Car Co. in 1935, a year before production of the committee-design officially began, though they made use of some PCC design features. They were shorter than standard, as were all DC Transit PCC cars. Their straight, fluted sides were a characteristic design feature. The lone surviving car, No. 1053, was destroyed in a tragic fire in 2003.
