HO Scale Comet III Commuter Coach Cars (No Toilet) Long Doors

These cars were designed as improvements on the successful Comet I and II designs used by NJ Transit and other commuter agencies on the East Coast of the USA. Externally, they differ mainly in having center doors for passenger loading and unloading. Large fleets of these cars can be found in the New York/New Jersey metro area, while SEPTA in Philadelphia operates several of these Comet III coach trailers to supplement its older fleet of Comet II cars. Commuter lines in New Jersey feature cab and trailer cars equipped with longer end doors. These cars can be distinguished by the covers over the stepwells (part of the longer door) and the square pockets on the side of the stepwell to accomodate this extra length. Cars operated by MNCR and SEPTA do not have this feature. Our kit includes both stepwells so you can model either version.

These cars are available now in complete body kits (less trucks).
